Day by day Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha (around 7:30–8:00 AM). After a short safari briefing, depart for Tarangire National Park (approx. 2–3 hours drive).
Begin your game drive among massive elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. The Tarangire River attracts wildlife, especially during the dry season.
Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park while observing elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, and possibly lions or leopards.
In the late afternoon, head to a nearby public campsite. Dinner prepared by your safari cook. Experience your first night under the African sky.

Day 2: Full Day Tarangire Safari
Spend a full day exploring Tarangire’s diverse habitats, including savannah, riverine forests, and areas surrounding the Tarangire River.
Your guide will take you to wildlife-rich zones for elephant sightings, predator tracking, and photographic opportunities. Look out for giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and an array of bird species.
Picnic lunch is served inside the park. Continue game drives into the afternoon. Return to your campsite in the evening for dinner and relaxation around the campfire.

Day 3: Tarangire – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, travel to the Serengeti National Park (approx. 6–7 hours), passing through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Optional stop at the Ngorongoro Crater rim for breathtaking photos of the caldera.
Descend into the Serengeti plains and begin an afternoon game drive. Wildlife includes wildebeest, zebras, lions, and cheetahs.
Arrive at your campsite in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Full Day Serengeti Safari (Migration Tracking)
This day is dedicated to tracking the Great Migration. Depending on the season, explore central, northern, or southern Serengeti regions.
Highlights may include:
- Massive herds of wildebeest and zebras
- Predator action: lions, cheetahs, hyenas, leopards
- Seasonal river crossings
- Calving season in southern Serengeti, attracting intense predator activity
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush and continue your game drive into the afternoon. Return to camp before sunset for dinner.

Day 5: Serengeti – Additional Game Drives
Another full day in Serengeti for deeper exploration. Visit kopjes (rock formations) and river areas where predators are concentrated.
Your guide adjusts the route based on wildlife movements. Early morning and late afternoon drives are ideal for predator activity and photographic opportunities.
Picnic lunch is served during the game drive. Return to camp for dinner and storytelling around the campfire.

Day 6: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater Rim
Start with an early morning game drive in Serengeti, a prime time for witnessing predators in action.
After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro highlands. Arrive at the crater rim in the afternoon and enjoy panoramic views of the Ngorongoro Crater.
Settle into your campsite, enjoy dinner, and spend the night overlooking the crater.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater Safari
After an early breakfast, descend approximately 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day safari.
This natural enclosure is home to an incredible concentration of wildlife, offering one of the best chances to see the Big Five in a single day. Animals include lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, hyenas, flamingos, and the rare black rhino.
Enjoy a picnic lunch near a hippo pool before continuing your game drive.
In the early afternoon, ascend the crater and begin your return journey to Arusha (approx. 4–5 hours).
Arrive in the late afternoon or early evening, marking the end of your safari.

Day 8: Ol Doinyo Lengai – Arusha
Optional early morning excursion to the base of Ol Doinyo Lengai for sunrise over the volcano.
After breakfast, begin the drive back to Arusha (approx. 5–6 hours). Arrive in the afternoon or early evening, concluding your 8-day camping adventure.
