Day by day Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha around 7:30–8:00 AM. After a short briefing from your professional safari guide, you will begin the drive to Tarangire National Park (approximately 2–3 hours), passing through Maasai villages and open plains.
Upon arrival, you’ll enter the park and start your first game drive. Tarangire is famous for its large elephant population—often seen in herds of up to 100—as well as its ancient baobab trees that dominate the landscape.
You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park, typically at a scenic site overlooking the Tarangire River, which attracts a variety of wildlife including zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, buffalo, and antelopes. Predators such as lions and leopards may also be spotted.
In the late afternoon, continue your game drive before exiting the park and heading to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Tarangire – Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast, depart around 8:00 AM and begin your journey toward the Serengeti. The drive takes approximately 6–7 hours but is incredibly scenic and rich in wildlife sightings.
You will pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where the landscape changes from lowland savannah to lush highlands. Along the way, you may spot Maasai herders with cattle, as well as wildlife such as zebras and gazelles.
As you descend into the Serengeti plains, the landscape opens dramatically into endless grasslands. You’ll begin your first game drive in the Serengeti immediately upon entry.
Expect to see large herds of wildebeest, zebras, and possibly predators such as lions lounging on kopjes (rock outcrops).
Arrive at your camp or lodge in the late afternoon or early evening.

Day 3: Full Day Serengeti Migration Safari
This day dedicated to tracking the Great Migration. After an early breakfast (or with a packed breakfast), you will set out for a full-day game drive.
Your guide will use experience and real-time information to locate the migration herds. Depending on the time of year, you may visit different regions of the Serengeti (central, northern, or southern).
Key highlights may include:
- River crossings (especially in the north near the Mara River), where wildebeest face crocodiles and strong currents
- Calving season (in the south), with thousands of newborn wildebeest attracting predators
- Predator action, including lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and leopards hunting
You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush, surrounded by nature.

Day 4: Serengeti Exploration

You may explore river areas, open plains, or rocky kopjes where predators are often found.
Expect to see:
- Lions resting or hunting
- Cheetahs scanning the plains for prey
- Leopards in trees (if lucky)
- Elephants, giraffes, and large buffalo herds
Optional early morning or sunset game drives can be arranged for the best wildlife activity and photography lighting.
Return to camp in the evening for relaxation, dinner, and storytelling around the campfire.

After breakfast, begin your journey toward the Ngorongoro highlands. Enjoy a final game drive in the Serengeti as you exit the park.
Drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, arriving at the crater rim in the afternoon.
From the rim, you’ll enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Ngorongoro Crater—a vast, unbroken caldera filled with wildlife.
